350gr 45-70 A-Frame Review by Camp Cook

I have been loading the 350gr A-Frames ion my 45-70 Marlin 1895gs for a while now I use H322 powder and load these bullets to appr 1950fps.

With XS Sights ghost ring sights shooting from a field position I can put 6 into 6" @ 150 yards.

I have only shot one 2 point mule deer buck with this combo so far but it is now my go to bullet when I am in remote wilderness areas here in British Columbia, Canada. (Posted on 4/19/10)

Marlin 45-70 350gr A-Frames Review by Camp Cook

I have a Marlin 1895GS 45-70 rifle that I have started loading 350gr A-Frames in, the muzzle velocity is approximately 2050fps.

I shot a 2 point (western count) mule deer buck @ 50 yards Sept 2008 the bullet entered the right front chest and exited the off side chest after taking out both lungs.

The deer ran approximately 40 yards before it piled up.

I find the A-Frames are now my go to bullet for this rifle A+++++ performance. (Posted on 3/2/09)
