- One shot=dead buff... Review by jetdrvr

Hunting herd buffalo in the Selous, I took a good bull with this bullet in a Model 70 .375 H&H at around 90 yards. It was a factory loaded Remington offering.
The bullet penetrated and broke the right shoulder, then through the rib cage, right lung, arterial junction, left lung, left ribs, and stopped under the offside skin.
Weighed twice on my reloading scale, it survived at 292 grains, with a perfect mushroom.
Also used it on a Nyassa Wildebeest at 300 yards. Knocked him flat, but took a finishing shot, as the initial bullet impacted a bit high on the shoulder. Excellent performance. Using the same load on an upcoming buff hunt in Maasailand July '09. (Posted on 2/28/09)
