2005
Spring Bear hunt in Alaska.
During this hunt I managed to harvest a nice 6.5 foot black bear
and an impressive Boone & Crockett brown bear that squared
10'2" and was estimated at 1300 lbs.
The caliber used for both bears was the .338 REM Ultra Mag with
the 250 gr. Swift A-Frame bullet.

The brown bear was dropped in under 20 yards with one shot placed
through the heart from a distance of 125 yards. Truly impressive
when many animals of this size require 4-5 shots form calibers
as large as a .375 H&H to bring down. This bear will
also be featured at the 2006 National Safari Club International
Show in Reno.
The black bear had the first bullet penetrate the entire length
of his body from his frontal center chest to exit the rear upper
leg and then dropped straight down on a second follow up shot.
Although the second shot was not necessary, it also passed clean
through from shoulder to shoulder.
Your Swift A-Frame is an awesome performing bullet and will be
my choice on future bear hunts and for other dangerous game. I
will be traveling to Maine in mid-September to attempt to harvest
another large black bear. Your bullet in the .338 Ultra Mag will
be with me. This hunt will be filmed on Northwoods Outdoors TV.
Thank you for your time and for making a great bullet. You have
a firm believer in the Swift's performance and reliability.
